NEW DELHI – Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially kicked off the first phase of Census 2027 on Wednesday by completing his own self-enumeration. This phase marks the beginning of house listing and housing operations across the country.
In a move toward modernizing India’s administrative data, the Prime Minister highlighted that this census marks the first time data collection is being conducted entirely through digital means.
