NEW DELHI — The Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals (DCPC), under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, has initiated preparations for Special Campaign 6.0, scheduled to run from October 2 to October 31, 2026.
Building on its preparatory phase (September 15–30, 2026), the sixth iteration of the annual government-wide drive will center on the theme: “Effective Collection, Segregation and Disposal of e-waste.”

E-Waste Disposal: Mandatory identification and disposal of electronic waste aligned with the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022.

Administrative Backlog Reduction: Expedited clearance of pending references from MPs, the PMO, state governments, inter-ministerial cabinet notes, and public grievances filed via CPGRAMS.

Workflow & Process Simplification: Systematic review of rules, GFR-compliant scrap disposal, space optimization, and physical/e-file weeding.

Special Campaign 5.0 Track Record (October 2025 Benchmarks):

Revenue Generation & Space Recovery: Generated ₹9.18+ lakh in revenue through scrap disposal; freed 7,156 sq. ft. of office space.

Record Management: Reviewed 4,792 physical files (237 weeded out) and 1,275 e-files (170 closed).

Grievance & Parliamentary Redressal: Disposed of 100% of received public grievances (6) and monitored 9 Parliamentary Assurances.

Participating Autonomous Bodies & PSUs: Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET), Institute of Pesticide Formulation Technology (IPFT), Hindustan Organic Chemicals Limited (HOCL), and HIL (India) Limited (executed 93 cleanliness and optimization drives collectively during the previous cycle).
