NEW DELHI — The Department of Fertilizers, under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, will observe ‘Swachhata Pakhwada-2026’ from September 1 to 15, 2026, introducing a specialized thrust on digital hygiene, e-office optimization, and paperless administrative efficiency alongside traditional campus upkeep.
Inaugurated with an address and Swachhata Pledge administered by Union Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, the fortnight-long drive aims to streamline governance systems, optimize server infrastructure, and foster environmental sustainability across central offices and affiliated organizations.

Digital Hygiene Focus: Emphasizes e-office streamlining, archiving disposed digital files, clearing database redundancies, and purging obsolete email attachments to optimize cloud/server storage.

Paperless & E-Office Optimization: Scheduled “Digital Cleanliness Day” on September 9 dedicated to organizing e-files, cloud storage, and official mailboxes.

Physical & Scrap Management: Systematically identifying and weeding out physical records (Sept 2) alongside auctioning condemned equipment, obsolete furniture, and e-waste (Sept 7).

Governance & Grievances: Dedicated drive on September 8 to accelerate the review and resolution of pending public grievances across CPGRAMS, PMO references, and MP communications.
