NEW DELHI — Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat today unveiled the curtain raiser for a landmark event: the Sacred Exposition of the Holy Relics of Tathagata. For the first time in India, the sacred relics of Lord Buddha will be moved from their original repository for a public exposition in Ladakh from May 1 to May 15, 2026.

Addressing a gathering at the National Museum, Shekhawat emphasized that the exposition is a historic initiative aimed at fostering global harmony.
