NEW DELHI — The Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES) and its subordinate institutes have recorded major administrative efficiency milestones under the fifth edition of the Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM 5.0).
Spanning December 2025 through August 2026, the campaign focused on institutionalizing workplace cleanliness, optimizing office real estate, disposing of redundant capital scrap, and accelerating public grievance resolution across all regional offices and research bodies.
Key Operational Highlights

Space & Revenue Optimization: MoES conducted 20 cleanliness drives across 10 offices and institutes, reclaiming 54,815 sq. ft. of office space and generating ₹1.57 crore for the central exchequer through systematic scrap and waste disposal.

Document Management & Digitization: Administrative teams closed 750 physical files and 177 e-files after systematic review and weeding, furthering the ministry’s transition toward digital office workflows.

Grievance Redressal Rate: The ministry achieved a 100% resolution rate for Inter-Ministerial Cabinet (IMC) proposals and Public Grievance Appeals, successfully closing 304 public grievances, 37 MP references, 17 PMO references, and 1 Parliamentary Assurance.
