NEW DELHI — The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has initiated active participation in Special Campaign 6, a national administrative efficiency and cleanliness drive organized by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG).
Under the direction of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, the initiative focuses on institutionalizing workplace cleanliness (Swachhata), accelerating the disposal of pending public grievances, and optimizing administrative record management across central and field offices.
Campaign Structure & Strategic Directives

Implementation Timeline: Conducted in two structured phases—a Preparation Phase running from September 15 to September 30, 2026, followed by the Implementation Phase from October 2 to October 31, 2026.

Operational Focus: Priority targeting of field and outstation establishments that interface directly with the public, including Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), Central Police Organizations (CPOs), Union Territories, and the Delhi Police.

Target Areas for Pendency Clearance: Accelerated resolution of Member of Parliament references, State Government references, PMO matters, Parliament Assurances, Inter-Ministerial Consultations, and Public Grievances and Appeals.

Inter-Ministry Data Integration: Internal monitoring and reporting managed through a dedicated intra-Ministry portal to coordinate real-time progress across all operational divisions.

Interim Performance Metrics (Nov 2025 – Aug 2026):

Execution of 761 Swachhta campaigns across MHA and field offices.

Disposal of 52,050 Public Grievances and 7,410 Public Grievance Appeals.
