NEW DELHI — In a major infrastructure development, REC Power Development and Consultancy Ltd (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of state-run REC Ltd, has formally handed over the project-specific Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), Sakoli Power Transmission Limited, to Ashoka Buildcon Limited.
Ashoka Buildcon secured the intra-state power project through a Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process coordinated by RECPDCL.
Project Scope and Technical Specifications
The project entails the development of a 400/220/132 kV AIS Sakoli transmission system located in the Bhandara district of Maharashtra under a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) framework.

Handover Ceremony
The official transfer was executed by Rajkumar Sonkar, Head of Department (CS) at RECPDCL, and Rajendra Burad, Chief Operating Officer at Ashoka Buildcon Limited, alongside senior officials from the Central Transmission Utility of India Ltd (CTUIL).
